Service Terms, Estimates & Warranties | Written Before Work Begins

These terms describe how Ser Plumbing Inc quotes, schedules, performs, and warranties plumbing work, and how this website may be used. They restate in one place the same commitments made throughout this site: written prices before work, diagnosis before recommendations, and no surprises at the end.

Who these terms cover

These terms apply to services provided by Ser Plumbing Inc, a California licensed plumbing contractor (CSLB #1051553) at 7530 Alondra Blvd Suite F, Paramount, CA 90723, and to use of this website. Booking a service, approving an estimate, or requesting work means you accept them.

02

Estimates and pricing

Replacement and installation projects receive free estimates. Repair and troubleshooting visits carry the $89 residential service call ($125 commercial), and instrument-level diagnostics, leak detection, and error-code work start at $125, credited toward the repair when you approve it.

Estimates are provided in writing, hold for 30 days, and are quoted flat-rate for defined work. An approved written estimate is honored for the conditions we observed. If opened walls, excavation, or inspection reveal a condition nobody could see beforehand, we show you what we found and obtain your approval before anything changes the number.

Prices published on this website are typical ranges, not quotes; your written estimate is the quote. Travel: no fee within 15 miles of the Paramount shop. Beyond that, a travel fee from $49 may apply depending on the project, always stated before you book. Labor discounts (military and first responders 10%, seniors and teachers 5%, first-time customers 10% on qualifying repairs) apply to labor and appear on the estimate. One discount per job.
03

Scheduling and arrival windows

Bookings receive a confirmed arrival window and an on-the-way notice. Same-day service is scheduling-dependent and likeliest in the core service area with a morning call. Emergency response runs around the clock, dispatched by severity and subject to technician availability, with after-hours rates quoted before any truck is committed.

If our schedule shifts, we tell you before you have to wonder. If you need to reschedule, call as early as you can and there is no penalty.

04

Authorization and access

No work begins without your authorization of the written estimate. You confirm that you are the property owner or are authorized to approve work at the service address, and that you will provide reasonable access to the work area, shutoffs, and cleanouts.

For tenant-occupied and HOA-governed properties, coordination runs through the owner or manager, and any association approvals required before plumbing work touches shared systems are the owner’s responsibility, though we routinely help provide the documentation.

05

Permits and inspections

Water heaters, repipes, sewer work, and gas work require permits in the cities we serve. We pull the permit, build to code, and coordinate the inspection. City permit fees are passed through at cost and typically run $150 to $800 depending on the jurisdiction and scope. Inspector scheduling belongs to the city, and we tell you plainly which parts of a timeline we do not control.

06

Workmanship warranty

Our workmanship is backed by a written labor warranty stated on your estimate and invoice, typically 90 days to one year depending on the service type. Equipment carries its manufacturer’s warranty under the manufacturer’s terms; we register installations and help with covered-part paperwork.

Drain snaking carries no warranty, because the condition of an old drain line is outside anyone’s control. We say that up front rather than after.

The workmanship warranty covers our labor on the work performed. It does not cover damage from causes outside the work, misuse, other trades’ work, or pre-existing conditions we documented and disclosed. Warranty service starts with a call to the same number; bring the invoice and we will take it from there.
07

Payment

Payment is due on completion unless your written estimate states otherwise. Larger projects may carry a progress-payment schedule set out in the estimate. We accept the methods listed at booking, and financing is available on qualifying projects through our booking platform, subject to lender approval; financing changes how you pay, never what you pay us.

08

Customer-supplied equipment

You are welcome to supply your own fixtures or units. The estimate separates equipment from labor, our workmanship warranty covers our installation only, and the manufacturer warranty on customer-supplied equipment remains between you and the manufacturer. If the specific model you purchased is wrong for your venting, space, or code requirements, you will hear that before it is installed.

09

Limits on what we do

We are plumbers, and we say so when a problem is not ours. Roof leaks, irrigation systems, appliance internals, tile and glass work, and structural repairs fall outside our trade, and when a diagnosis lands there we tell you honestly and point you at the right contractor rather than improvise.

Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the work at issue, except where California law provides otherwise. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the California Business and Professions Code or the CSLB’s contractor regulations.

10

Emergency situations

For gas odors, leave the home and call SoCalGas from outside at (800) 427-2200 before calling us; the utility makes it safe, and we handle the licensed repair afterward. For active water flow, close the fixture or main shutoff first. Safety instructions we give you by phone are guidance to limit damage, not a substitute for emergency services where those are warranted.

Website use

This website’s content, photography, and copy are the property of Ser Plumbing Inc. Service descriptions, typical ranges, and timelines are informational and do not constitute a quote or a guarantee of outcome for any particular property. Reviews shown here are published by customers on Google under Google’s terms and are displayed unedited.

12

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute belongs to the courts of Los Angeles County. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stands. Updated terms will be posted here with a new date, and material changes will be described plainly rather than buried.

Where these terms sit

Your written estimate and invoice are the controlling documents for any specific job; these terms fill in the general framework around them. Where a written estimate says something more specific than this page, the estimate governs. Questions before you approve anything are always welcome at (310) 953-3566.
